What is this?

Pry Advisory Group’s Beneficiary Communication is another service within the Trust Advisory Department to help trustees maintain their fiduciary responsibility by maintaining a line of communication with the beneficiaries of the respective trusts.

How does it help me?

Most States have a section within their Trust Code that states the trustee must provide at least annual communication to the beneficiaries of a trust.  This would include income beneficiaries as well as the remainder beneficiaries.

This communication may be in the form of a:

  • Crummey Letter – A letter from the grantor to turn a future value gift into a present value gift.

  • Portfolio Review – A report stating the material facts of the holdings within the trust and their current vital statistics and fair market value as of year end.

  • Expected Annual Income – By informing the income beneficiaries what the expected income for the year will be it provides them with the information to plan accordingly.

  • Material Changes – If a beneficiary change is made due to death or the dissolution of a charitable interest, this information can be shared to all concerned.

The Pry Advisory Group’s Beneficiary Communication Service allows the trustee to delegate this work and while providing a final review of the information prior to mailing.
