What is this?

Trustee Education provides both novice and experienced trustees with the tools necessary to manage trusts, ranging in type and complexity, following fiduciary “best practices.”

 

 

How does it help me?

In this highly litigious society, it is not uncommon for the issue of money management to be the subject of anxiety for families, in particular grantors and beneficiaries of trusts.  Due to the emotional nature of trust management it is important to establish and maintain a detailed management process.  Trustee Education helps trustees that are currently managing trusts without the necessary process to develop a process that will help protect them during any investigation of their methods.  Trustee Education can also assist trustees evaluate and improve their current process.

What do I need to bring?

The initial meeting requires a copy of the trust document, the most recent investment statement and/or list of assets, and, if prepared, a copy of the trust’s investment policy statement.
